Our Remote Deposit Express service is just like having a teller right in your office. Simply run incoming checks through a desktop scanner and transmit them via a secure Internet connection to the bank, where it’s immediately posted to your account. It’s fast, cost effective and convenient. How it works:
Using PC software and a scanner, our web-based Remote Deposit Express service uses imaging technology to submit checks for deposit electronically. We provide you with the scanner and software free of charge and take care of set-up and installation. Then, you’re ready to bank right from your desk at work. The process couldn’t be simpler. - Feed the check or checks through the scanner.
- Review the check image on your computer screen and input any missing information.
- Balance deposit totals and transmit the batch.
- Checks are automatically endorsed by the scanner with the account name, deposit account number, date and time.
What you need to know: Eligible Deposit Accounts You can deposit to both business and personal accounts. Attorneys may make deposits to estate accounts.
Eligible Checks Any U.S. dollar checks, drawn on banks with a valid U.S. routing and transit number, are eligible to be scanned. Checks drawn on banks in other countries (foreign checks) cannot be processed through the Remote Deposit Express system.
Set-up Our Remote Deposit Express expert comes to your office to install the scanner, software, and train employees. Set-up takes approximately a week from receipt of a completed agreement.
Reporting Multiple reports are available to verify deposit batch detail, confirm transmission and check batch status. Check images can be viewed, printed or exported. Deposit history is held for two years for research purposes. Original checks should be stored for 60 days in a secure environment before destroying.
User Security and Deposit Limits Multiple user and user authority levels can be set up for each user with dual control parameters and thresholds. Deposit limits and check amount limits are set for each business. Call your Private Business Banker today to sign up for Remote Deposit Express.
