United Way of Queen Anne’s County Advancing the Common Good: Creating Opportunities for a Better Life for All

The United Way of Queen Anne’s County was established in 1990 in response to public requests for an agency to coordinate community service organizations.  With the mission of “Improving lives by mobilizing the caring power of our community,” the United Way of Queen Anne’s County has been able to raise more than $600,000 over the years. 

The United Way works to advance the common good by focusing on education, income and health which are the building blocks for a good life.  Local chapters of the organization concentrate their efforts on creating long-lasting community change by addressing the underlying cause of the most significant local issues.  These issues include helping children and youth achieve their potential, promoting financial stability and independence and improving people’s health.
