About Checking Accounts

  • You can write checks.
  • Money can be withdrawn directly from your bank.
  • You can withdraw money out of any ATM machine using your  ATM card (if you choose to use an ATM that is not owned by your bank, the owning bank may impose a fee).
  • Use your ATM/check card to make purchases from any store that accepts Visa or MasterCard. The funds are withdrawn directly from your checking account.  When making this type of purchase, it is generally best to select the credit option so that you will not need to use your PIN and in most cases you will avoid a fee for the transaction.
  • Transfer money into any other account within the same bank.

Important! Make sure to keep track of your account balance, so when you go to make a purchase or write a check you have enough money to cover the item. You can check your balance any time:

  • At any ATM
  • Using the online banking option (you must sign up for this)
  • By calling Telebank – our telephone banking system
  • Stopping by any of our bank locations
